Arthur's groundbreaking first Dot single was also the first hit produced at Rick Hall's original FAME studio in Muscle Shoals. Released in late 1961, it entered the charts in early '62, eventually reaching #24 following Arthur's appearance on American Bandstand in March. A favorite of The Rolling Stones, it was covered on their 1963 December's Children album, and later recorded by Johnny Rivers, Bobby Vie, Mink DeVille and Jones/Johnny Paycheck.
"My criteria for that song was Ben. E. King's 'Stand By Me' and Chuck Jackson's 'Any Day Now' and 'Save The Last Dance For Me'," Arthur explained. It's only fitting that Chuck Jackson interpret the lyric here with help from Dire Strait's Mark Knopfler on guitar.

Mark (electric guitar) performed this song already live on a promotion event for the Randy Newman album 'land of dreams' 1988, together with Randy Newman (vocals, piano), Marcus Miller (bass, background vocals), Hiram Bullock † (acoustic guitar, background vocals), Omar Hakim (drums) and Philippe Saisse (keyboard). This was aired on NBC's late-night televisionshow 'Sunday Night' [season #1, episode #106] 6. Nov. 1988 hosted by Jools Holland and David Sanborn.
