City of Malibu Christmas Tree Recycling
There are three ways to recycle your Christmas tree through January 26, 2004...
Bring your tree to a recycling drop-off location at:
1. Pacific Coast Highway at Heathercliff Road
2. Civic Center Way across from the County Library
3. Remove all ornaments, cut your tree in half and place it in your green waste container.
Water containers, metal stands & bars, ornaments and tinsel must be removed from your tree before recycling.

Public Awareness Advisory for Horse Owners
The Los Angeles County West Vector & Vector-Borne Disease Control District wishes to inform horse owners of the problem of sweet itch, an allergic condition resulting from the bite of a biting midges Feb. 2e. In recent years, the condition appears to have migrated into regions of Southern California.
Detailed information on sweet itch and biting midges, including protective measures and treatments, as well as suggestions from other owners, can be found on the West Vector website at www.lawestvector.org or they can be contacted by phone at (310) 915-7370.
