ALCOBAÇA HISTORIC CENTER – OUTDOOR AND INDOOR SCREENINGS

31st May – 8th June 2014

The expanded cinema and video art international screening will take place
everyday of the Books & Movies event, from 31 st   May to 8 th   June with two
evening schedules: 19h30 and 22h00. Following the main frame of the big
event, the screenings will take place in the city public spaces and cafes
located in the historic center in an outdoor and indoor production. Two main
areas will support the screening in the historic downtown: the Rossio Square and the Afonso Henrique’s Square, both situated in front of the majestic
Cistercian   Alcobaça   Monastery   (World   Heritage).   Highlighted   with   this
enchanted scenario, the screening program will be composed by selected
national and foreign exquisite video-art works from invited artists regarding
the concept of the image of writing and the writing of image.
