Harald Lillmeyer
born in Essen,
studied guitar at the Folkwang Hochschule in Essen (Prof. Hans Gräf)
and at the University of music and performing arts in Vienna (Prof. Karl Scheit).
Additional studies : "Contemporary Music" at the Musikhochschule in
Karlsruhe (Prof. Wilhelm Bruck) and "Contemporary Chamber Music"
at the Folkwang Hochschule (Prof. Wolfgang Hufschmidt).
Concerts as soloist [Debut 1985, G.Scelsi: KO-THA, Wittener Tage für neue
Kammermusik, (WP of all three movements)], with the guitar-duo "Susanne
Hilker/Harald Lillmeyer", ensemble "GO GUITARS", as guitarist
of "Xsemble München" and as guest of the "ensemble recherche".
With "SWR - Symphonieorchester", "Symphonieorchester des BR" and
"Münchner Philharmonikern" he played under direction of :

1981 he was International guitar competition/Mettmann prizewinner,
1988 was awarded the "Folkwang - Förderpreis" with his guitar duo,
1991 the "Förderpreis" of the city of Munich as member of "Xsemble München"
and 2001 the "Music Scholarship" of the city of Munich with "GO GUITARS".
Recitals and concerts a.o. at "Schleswig-Holstein-Musikfestival", "Biennale
München", "Akademie der Künste Berlin", "Dublin Guitar Week", Tour to South
America (Goethe-Institut).

Since 1985 he was lecturer in guitar and new music at the
Richard - Strauss - Conservatory in Munich, since 2008 at the
University of Music and Performing Arts Munich.
